Individuals in search of a lawyer for issues that range from child custody to criminal matters now have access to a new online portal 24 hours a day that will make legal assistance available to them.
The New York State Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) has collaborated with Legio.io to develop the portal, which is available at https://nysbalris.legal.io. Additionally, information can be found at 1-800-342-3661.
According to the LRIS, which has been matching individuals with attorneys for 35 years, the new service is an approachable way to get legal help.
A person begins the process at the portal by filling out a confidential questionnaire as regards their legal issues and location. The State Bar staff will evaluate the information and then forward the request to one of the 17 county bar associations with a locally run attorney service in their neighborhood or one nearby.
While there are no fees for the referral, if the individual speaks with an attorney recommended through the service, there is a $35 fee for the first half-hour consultation. There are some exceptions such as personal injury, medical malpractice, worker’s compensation and others.
While individuals are not compelled to continue with the lawyer, should they decide to do so additional fees will be settled on by both the client and the attorney.

A litigation attorney is a legal professional whose career is focused on representing clients in lawsuits. These can include clients from a wide spectrum, including individuals, businesses, and organizations.
A litigation attorney can practice in federal court, state court, or both. In this day and age, a litigation attorney oftentimes focuses on representing clients on either the federal or state court level. While similarities exist between courts on the federal and state levels, there are also some differences.
As a general rule, a litigation attorney begins honing his or her skills while still in law school. A student interested in becoming a litigator will likely focus on a core set of courses that include civil procedure, evidence, and courtroom practice.
Many students interested in becoming litigators will also participate in a law school’s law clinic. Through a law clinic, economically challenged people are able to access legal assistance for no fee or a fee based on a sliding scale. Law students represent these individuals, supervised by licensed attorneys.
Many litigation attorneys are part of larger law firms. In the United States today, there are law firms with hundreds of lawyers and offices located across the country. These firms usually maintain special litigation departments.
In addition to his work as litigator on behalf of individuals, businesses, and organizations, Heideck also represents clients in regard to employment, commercial, and products liability issues. He also has a background in regulatory compliance and risk management.
Heideck obtained his law degree from the Temple University School of Law. He attended Swarthmore prior to Temple. At Swarthmore, Heideck obtained a BA in English language and literature with a concentration in letters. He graduated with honors from both schools.

While AMV564 is only in phase one of the investigative process, Jeanmarie Guenot, Ph.D., the president and chief executive officer of Amphivena Therapeutics, is positive that it will bring promising news to the pharmaceutical industry. She believes that this first phase will open several new treatment options for medical professionals and cancer patients.
“Our preclinical program demonstrated impressive cytotoxic activity in AML patient samples and animal models that was both potent and selective,” Guenot explained in a press release. “This is suggesting the potential for a robust therapeutic response with minimal off-target safety concerns.”
Guenot looks forward to beginning the clinical phase of testing and is optimistic about the future of Amphivena Therapeutics. The company believes that this therapy treatment has huge potential to change the way cancer is approached.
JeanMarie Guenot further explains that AMV564 aims to eliminate cancer cells in the body, including the bine, marrow and blood. If phase one goes as plan, AMV564 could be headed to clinical trials very soon.

Alexandre Gama is not the ordinary Brazilian entrepreneur and advertising leader. As the only Brazilian member of the Global Creative Board and the first Brazilian to fight the battle for the global network of communications agencies as CEO of BBH, this 58-year old businessman has more than led the way in his actions thus far. He does not plan on retiring any time soon, for he claims that there is always more to be done and that the best is yet to come.
Alexandre Gama’s career path began with an undergraduate degree from the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, otherwise known as the FAAP of Brazil. He then continued as a writer for the Standart Ogilvy. In 1990, he took over the copywriting business and became one of Brazil’s best in a matter of weeks. He was later acknowledged as Brazil’s best writer.
In 1999, he began his own agency and called it Neogama, a name both unique and appealing to any potential advertiser or customer. It was all part of a cleverly-laid advertising plan for success, which only rose to greater heights in years to come. Mr. Gama and Neogama were given numerous awards since, making them Brazil’s best.
