Eric Lefkofksy, co-founder of businesses such as Groupon and Lightbank, has been working quietly with a company that he has also co-founded Tempus: a company bent on helping doctors provide as personalized patient care as possible for the better treatment of each individual case of cancer.
Eric Lefkofsky is a skilled entrepreneur whose companies are used widely. With such successes, especially financially, Lefkofksy has dedicated much of his time and finances to finding more effective treatments, as well as an over all cure for cancer. At Tempus, he is the managing director, as he helps keep things running and progressing ever further alongside the rest of the Tempus team.
Tempus works with any and all doctors and patients, analyzing the individual cases of tumors and finding the best way to treat and, in the end, eliminate the cancerous growths. Each case is carefully looked at, and many professionals are consulted. Tempus works very closely with each patients physician, recording and sharing all data to help them form a better treatment plan as things develop.
One of Tempus’ weapon against this disease is the patients genetic code. Reading it and using it to combat the tumors in a more natural and effective way that has fewer consequences in the long run. The idea is to use this information to better construct health plans for each patient, to help them not have to walk back in to a hospital for years to come.
As of right now, Tempus is working with three different cancers, but are more than planning on being able to work with other forms.
Eric Lefkofsky’s role in Tempus as not only Co-founder, but CEO is a hefty one to bear, as cancer wears on not only the body of the patient, but on the minds of all those around them. His dedication, however, proves that he intends to see this company through to the end of his days there, to advance and grow, and fight treatments for all those afflicted, and, ultimately, eradicated cancer once and for all in each individual.
